Utopian Visions - Time Based Arts Festival
In 2018, I was asked to create a “forest service kiosk” that would act as an informational booth equipped with forward thinking artist projects centered around environmental actions or causes. Working with a local craftsman,Scott Belari, we built this 12’ structure where it was exhibited at the Utopian Visions Art Fair, which was part of the annual Time Based Arts Festival in Portland, OR.
Pioneer Town - Joshua Tree
The owners of Pioneer Town commissioned me to create 35 hand-built planters for their hotel rooms in Joshua Tree. Each planter was unique and one of a kind, drawing from the organic and fluid environment of the surrounding desert.
MSG - Mini Scion Gallery
Mini Scion Gallery was a traveling exhibition space that showed work by driving around it’s passengers. After being inspired by the Greek Myth, Kairos, I created a flowing fountain that sat in the dashboard unit that sat underneath a dangling ponytail attached by a suction cup to the windshield. As passengers were driven around, I sat in the backseat performing improvised vocal compositions referencing a series of poems I had written while in Greece.
